COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,449, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,449, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 816 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 172,206. The new cases include:

*126 in Multnomah County

*97 in Clackamas County

*86 in Washington County

*84 in Deschutes County

*83 in Marion County

*50 in Jackson County

*49 in Lane County

*32 in Grant County

*23 in Linn County

*27 in Klamath County

*25 in Benton County

*19 in Josephine County

*18 in Polk County

*14 in Baker County

*13 in Columbia County

*9 each in Umatilla and Yamhill counties

*8 each in Douglas, Hood River and Wasco counties

*6 in Lincoln County

*4 in Coos County

*3 each in Curry and Jefferson counties

*2 each in Clatsop, Crook, Malheur and Union counties

*1 each in Harney, Morrow, Sherman and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 56 to 88. 1 each lived in Klamath, Tillamook, and Union counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 200, which is 3 more than on Tuesday. There are 52 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is unchanged from Tuesday.

OHA reported that 39,326 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 24,097 doses were administered on Tuesday. 15,229 were administered on previous days, but were added into the vaccine registry on Tuesday.
