COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,341, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,441, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 294 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 170,850. The new cases include:

*54 in Multnomah County

*43 in Marion County

*39 in Clackamas County

*38 in Lane County

*23 in Deschutes County

*15 in Linn County

*13 in Josephine County

*11 in Jackson County

*7 in Yamhill County

*6 each in Douglas, Baker and Clatsop counties

*5 in Columbia County

*4 each in Jefferson and Polk counties

*3 each in Tillamook, Washington and Wasco counties

*2 in Benton, and Coos counties

*1 in Morrow County

The new death was a 47-year old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive on March 22nd and died on April 7th and Adventist Medical Center.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across is 177, which is 2 fewer than on Sunday. There are 48 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 more than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 27,503 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 17,823 doses were administered on Sunday. 9,680 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
