COVID-19 CLAIMS NO MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,440, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 has claimed no more lives, with the state death toll remaining at 2,440, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 761 new confirmed and positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 170,085. The new cases include:

*132 in Multnomah County

*98 in Washington County

*82 in Clackamas County

*74 in Deschutes County

*67 in Lane County

*57 each in Jackson and Marion counties

*48 in Klamath County

*20 in Josephine County

*17 in Linn County

*16 in Columbia County

*11 in Polk County

*9 each in Benton, Douglas and Yamhill counties

*8 in Crook County

*6 each in Baker, Tillamook and Wasco counties

*4 each in Coos, Hood River, Lincoln and Union counties

*3 in Grant, Malheur and Umatilla counties

*2 in Jefferson County

*1 each Curry and Harney counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 170, which is 12 more than on Friday. There are 46 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 more than on Friday.

OHA reported that 54,70 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 30,068 doses were administered on Friday. 24,772 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.
