COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,394, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,394, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 248 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 167,128. The new cases include:

*58 in Multnomah County

*29 each in Marion and Lane counties

*19 in Jackson County

*18 in Columbia County

*17 in Linn County

*14 in Deschutes County

*13 each in Polk and Yamhill counties

*11 each in Douglas and Josephine counties

*5 in Lincoln County

*3 in Benton County

*2 each in Clatsop and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Crook, Grant, Hood River, and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 90 to 98. Both lived in Jackson County.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 177, which is 27 more than on Sunday. There are 42 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 fewer than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 22,131 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 1,314 doses were administered on Sunday. 7,817 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
