COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,383, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,383, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 441 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 165,012. The new cases include;

*94 in Multnomah County

*61 in Clackamas County

*47 in Washington County

*35 in Lane County

*30 in Jackson County

*25 in Marion County

*18 in Linn County

*17 in Josephine County

*14 each in Benton and Klamath counties

*13 in Deschutes County

*10 each in Columbia and Polk counties

*7 each in Baker and Coos counties

*6 in Grant County

*5 each in Douglas and Yamhill counties

*4 in Tillamook County

*3 each in Lincoln, Umatilla and Union counties

*2 each in Clatsop and Curry counties

*1 each in Harney, Lake, Malheur, and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 63 to 84. 1 each lived in Douglas and Washington counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 139, which is unchanged from Tuesday. There are 36 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 more than on Tuesday.

OHA reported that 38,373 new doses of COVID-19 were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 23,834 doses were administered on Tuesday. 14,539 were administered on previous days but were added into the vaccine registry on Tuesday.
