COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,367, as of Tuesday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 316 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 162,016. The new cases include:
*56 in Washington County
*44 in Multnomah County
*30 in Clackamas County
*28 in Jackson County
*24 in Deschutes County
*21 in Marion County
*17 each in Josephine and Lane counties
*11 in Klamath County
*10 in Umatilla County
*7 in Douglas County
*6 each in Polk and Yamhill counties
*5 in Lincoln County
*4 each in Coos, Curry and Linn counties
*3 each in Baker, Hood River, Tillamook and Yamhill counties
*2 each in Benton, Columbia, and Crook counties
*1 each in Grant, Jefferson, Malheur and Wasco counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 67 to 85. Both lived in Coos County.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 109, which is 7 fewer than on Monday. There are 16 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Monday.
OHA reported that 18,241 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 10,845 doses were administered on Monday. 7,396 were administered on previous days but were added to the vaccine registry on Monday.
Oregon has now administered a total of 768,927 first and second doses of Pfizer, 746,354 first and second doses of Moderna and 32,803 single doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.
To date, 971,685 doses of Phizer, 978,400 doses of Moderna, and 60,100 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
