COVID-19 CLAIMS 27 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,252, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 27 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,252, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 276 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 156,287. The new cases include:

*47 in Jackson County

*28 in Marion County

*26 in Multnomah County

*25 in Washington County

*24 in Coos County

*22 in Douglas County

*20 in Clackamas County

*15 in Lane County

*10 each in Deschutes and Union counties

*7 in Umatilla County

*5 each in Jefferson and Josephine counties

*4 each in Linn, Polk and Tillamook counties

*3 each in Benton and Columbia counties

*2 each in Baker, Clatsop, Grant, Harney, Klamath, Malheur, and Yamhill counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 140, which is 9 fewer than on Tuesday. There are 31 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 more than on Tuesday.
