A Wind Advisory continues through 1:00 p.m. Tuesday for parts of central Douglas County and surrounding areas.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are expected.
The Advisory area includes the higher terrain of the Umpqua Divide in southern Douglas and northern Josephine counties. This includes the City of Glendale and Highway 227 south of Tiller. The Advisory is also for the higher terrain in eastern Curry County as well.
Gusty winds could blow unsecured objects around. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
A High Wind Warning is in place for the southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, including Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. South winds of 30 to 40 miles per hours with gusts up to 80 miles per hour are forecast.
Forecasters said damaging winds will blow down trees. Power outages are expected. Travel is dangerous, especially for high profile vehicles. The warning continues until Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
