COVID-19 CLAIMS 4 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 705

COVID-19 has claimed 4 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 705, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 597 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID, bringing the state case total to 47,049. The new cases include:

*172 in Multnomah County

*83 in Marion County

*57 in Washington County

*54 in Clackamas County

*52 in Jackson County

*24 in Lane County

*23 in Umatilla County

*17 in Deschutes County

*13 each in Polk and Yamhill counties

*12 in Douglas County

*11 each in Linn and Malheur counties

*9 in Crook County

*7 in Baker County

*5 each in Columbia and Jefferson counties

*4 in Clatsop County

*3 each in Klamath, Union and Wallowa counties

*2 each in Coos, Grant, Hood River and Morrow counties

*1 each in Harney, Josephine and Lake counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 69 to 98. 2 lived in Washington County. 1 each lived in Marion and Jackson counties.

The OHA reported a COVID-19 outbreak of 39 cases at the Fred Meyer Distribution Center in Clackamas County. The case count includes all person linked to the outbreak, which may include household members and other close contacts to an employee.
