OREGON HITS HIGHEST DAILY CASE COUNT FOR COVID-19 CASES FOR THE SECOND DAY IN A ROW

On Friday, the Oregon Health Authority reported the highest daily case count of COVID-19, for the second daily in a row.

600 new confirmed and presumptive cases were announced, along with two more deaths. That raises the state’s death toll to 675 and the state case total to 44,389.

The new cases include:

*152 in Multnomah County

*91 in Washington County

*69 in Jackson County

*45 in Clackamas County

*44 in Marion County

*34 in Lane County

*26 in Umatilla County

*24 in Deschutes County

*18 each in Linn and Malheur counties

*13 in Yamhill County

*9 in Klamath County

*4 each in Douglas, Columbia and Lake counties

*3 each in Baker, Clatsop, Crook, Hood River, Josephine, Morrow, Union and Wasco counties

*2 each in Coos, Harney, Jefferson, Sherman, and Wallowa counties

*1 each in Gilliam, Benton, Lincoln, and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 83 to 95. 1 lived in Linn County and 1 lived in Multnomah County.

The previous highest daily case count was 575 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, which was reported on Thursday.
