Roseburg Police jailed a man for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Monday.

An RPD report said at 7:30 a.m. officers responded to a vehicle theft at a business in the 2500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. A victim said a man had entered his vehicle while the keys were in the ignition and drove away. A short time later, officers located the pickup in the Green District with a 34-year-old man in it. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop, and the suspect admitted stealing the vehicle. He was also charged with a parole violation and was detained without bail.
