MAN JAILED AFTER ALLEGEDLY BRANDISHING AXE

A Roseburg man was jailed early Monday after allegedly brandishing an axe.
A report from Roseburg Police said just before 1:15 a.m. 30-year old Nicholas Kindel allegedly put a victim in fear for his safety when he was told to leave the property in the 900 block of Northeast Stephens. During the course of his arrest, the man was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine as well.
Kindel was detained for menacing, for second degree criminal mischief and for the drug charge. He was initially held on $57,500 bail.
He was released later on Monday.
