GOVERNOR ALIGNS DATES ON DINE-IN PROHIBITION WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER

Oregon Governor Kate Brown has issued a new Executive Order which aligns the effective dates for the prohibition on dine-in food and drink consumption in Oregon with her Stay Home, Save Lives order.
A release from Brown said the dine-in prohibition, originally established by the first Executive Order, will remain in effect until it is lifted by the Governor. Restaurants, bars and other businesses can continue to serve food for take-out or delivery.
Brown said “we all want to return to a day where we can frequent the restaurants and businesses that have given Oregon a well-deserved culinary reputation and provided so many jobs for Oregonians”. She said while she wished she could say there was a certain date where that could happen, it would be irresponsible to lift those restrictions in the middle of this outbreak.
Brown said she would work with her Medical Advisory Panel, the Oregon Health Authority and local officials to evaluate how and when Oregon can begin to return to a time where public spaces are safe from the spread of COVID-19.
