NO ONE HURT IN CAR VS MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

No one hurt in a car versus motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon in Roseburg.
A report from Roseburg Police said just after 2:30 p.m. a 34-year old man was riding a motorcycle, headed west in the 1100 block of Garden Valley Boulevard. He was in the center turn lane getting ready to turn into the driveway of a business. A 77-year old Canyonville man was driving a sedan and didn’t see the motorcycle, and turned directly in front of him. The motorcyclist tried to swerve, but still struck the front bumper of the car.
The motorcyclist was ejected and cartwheeled onto the roadway. His bike sustained major damage and was not operable. The car had moderate damage to the hood and front bumper, but was still drivable. The motorcyclist claimed that he was not injured.
The motorist was cited for making a dangerous left turn.
