A vehicle rolled on Highway 138W in the Tyee area on Wednesday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 10:15 a.m. troopers responded to the single-vehicle crash near Milepost 13. The operator of an eastbound large SUV drove across the right-hand shoulder while negotiating a curve. The driver, an Elkton woman, apparently lost control of the vehicle, which veered across the oncoming lane of traffic, struck a dirt embankment on the westbound shoulder, rolled over, and came to rest on its side, partially blocking the lane of travel. The vehicle’s owner arranged for a tow. The driver was cited for failure to drive within a lane. The report said a witness who observed the crash stated the vehicle was traveling too fast to safely negotiate the sharp curve before leaving the roadway.
