Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a parole violation, following an incident at a business on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 4:40 p.m. officers took a report of theft from the store in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers got a description of the female, who allegedly walked into the business and stole a sander, before heading south on Stephens Street. While speaking with the employees, they stated they only wanted the items back and the female trespassed.

Officers located the suspect several blocks away and recovered the stolen property. The 38-year-old, returned as a corrections offender. She was taken into custody without incident. The woman was released later on Wednesday.
