Southern Oregon Goodwill will host a free electronics drop-off event on Tuesday, November 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
It will be at the new Goodwill location at 1430 Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard in Roseburg.
Residents simply need to pull into the location, pop their trunk, and Goodwill staff will unload. Computers, laptops, monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, cords and cables are all welcome. Any brand, any condition, working or not, all will be accepted.
Everything collected goes straight to Dell for recycling through Dell Reconnect. Due to its partnership with Goodwill, Dell will pay Southern Oregon Goodwill for the equipment, and that money goes back to the mission of employment and training that supports people in Roseburg and communities across Douglas County. Materials are recovered to build new devices, which keep them out of the landfill and cut demand for raw materials.
Before dropping off computers, people should back up and wipe their hard drive. Neither Dell nor Goodwill is responsible for data left on devices. Ink, toner, and loose batteries are not accepted. Donations are tax deductible.
