A commercial motor vehicle crashed on Interstate 5 near the south Cottage Grove interchange early Monday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 2:20 a.m. a trooper responded to the accident where the CMV had crashed into a guardrail owned by the Oregon Department of Transportation on the right-hand shoulder, damaging approximately 200 feet of metal railing and wooden post. Medics responded to the scene, but no one was injured or transported.

A towing company responded to the scene, along with a hazmat team. ODOT provided traffic control while the CMV was being recovered. The operator was cited for failing to driving within a lane.
