Nearly 50 percent of local voters have cast a ballot in the 2026 Douglas County November General Election, as of Monday evening.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 44,518 ballots have been received. Loomis said that is 0.57 percentage points ahead of the participating rate at the same point in the 2022 local November General Election.

Tuesday is Election Day. Ballots deposited in an official ballot drop site must be received by 8:00 p.m. Those mailing their ballot on Election Day should go inside the Post Office and request a hand-cancellation stamp. Loomis said a ballot postmarked after Election Day will not be counted. Voters can use any of the 17 official ballot drop sites through 8:00 p.m. on Election Night.
