Roseburg Police cited a man for city ordinance violations early Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said shortly after 12:00 a.m. officers contacted the 53-year-old at The Point in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street because he had a campfire in violation of the city ordinance. Additionally, the man was camping on the south side of the bicycle path, an area that is prohibited from camping at all times.

The fire was extinguished using a jug of water. The man was cited for a violation count of criminal camping and for prohibited outdoor burning. He was released after the citation was issued.
