After 42 years of operation, Rumors Bar in Roseburg will close on Saturday.

The nightspot on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard is preparing for an End of An Era party on Friday and Saturday.

A company post said, “After many years of laughter, memories, and unforgettable nights, we have decided to close our doors permanently. This chapter has meant so much to us, and we are forever thankful for everyone who walked through our doors”. The post said staff is excited to see what the future holds for the location.

Rumors is adjacent to Kowloon Restaurant and both businesses are owned by Kowloon Restaurant Inc. according to City of Roseburg staff.

On Wednesday, an employee of the business told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that Rumors is in the process of being sold but didn’t want to provide additional information. The employee said there are no changes for Kowloon Restaurant currently.

Doors for the “Last Call Goodbye” will open both evenings at 8:00 p.m.
