DFPA CONTINUES WITH MODERATE FIRE RESTRICTIONS

As fire season continues, the Douglas Forest Protective Association still has Public Use Restrictions listed as Moderate and the Industrial Fire Precaution Level at Level 2.

This applies to all private, county, state, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Bureau of Land Management Roseburg District lands within the Douglas District.

Under Moderate Public Use Restrictions these activities are only permitted before 1:00 p.m. or after 8:00 p.m.:

*Non-industrial power saw use

*Cutting, grinding or welding of metal

*Cutting, trimming, or mowing dried or cured grass and

*Operation of power-driven machinery for non-industrial property improvement or development on private lands.

Under Industrial Fire Precaution Level 2, these activities may only operate between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.:

*Power saws except for power saws operating at loading sites

*Feller-bunchers with rotary head saws

*Cable Yarding

*Blasting and

*Welding, cutting, or grinding of metal
