HIGH PRESSURE MEANS MORE ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES

A ridge of high pressure means above normal temperatures in the Umpqua Valley for the next week.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that afternoon highs will toggle between the mid 70’s and the low to the mid 80’s. The normal high temperature for this part of May is 69 degrees. Saturday is forecast to be one of the hottest days of 2026 so far with temperatures in the mid 80’s. Last Sunday, May 3rd saw an afternoon high of 85 degrees which is the hottest day of this year to this point.

There is a slight chance of rain Tuesday night, but otherwise no moisture is in the forecast for the foreseeable future. The mercury reached 76 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Thursday.
