A Reedsport man was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office after a stolen vehicle was located on Thursday afternoon.

A DCSO report said at 5:00 p.m. deputies received information that the 31-year-old and the pickup were at a location in the 1000 block of Lower Smith River Road near Reedsport. Deputies responded and found both the suspect and the vehicle. The man had the keys to the vehicle and admitted to driving it and possessing it. He was charged with second-degree theft and for several warrants that were out for his arrest. Bail was set at $50,000.
