Roseburg Police cited two women for prohibited camping on Monday.
An RPD report said at 10:30 a.m. a 54-year-old was contacted in her tent, which was set up in the dirt under the north side of the Stewart Park bridge over the South Umpqua River next to the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. This area is prohibited by the Time, Place and Manner ordinance. The woman has been cited and warned for camping at the location multiple times.
The 39-year-old had her camp attached to the chain link fence along the paved path which goes under the north side of the bridge, blocking over half of it. The woman was aware of the TP&M Ordinance and has been cited before.
Both were released after being given citations.
