One person was jailed, and one was cited following a reported road rage incident on Tuesday night.

A Roseburg Police report said the incident on West Harvard Avenue and West Harrison Street took place at 9:50 p.m. and involved a Winston man and a Roseburg woman, both age 18. The vehicles stopped on Harrison Street. A confrontation allegedly ensued where the woman jumped on the hood of the man’s vehicle, holding a large rock while threatening to bash the windshield. Occupants of the victim vehicle grabbed her off the hood. In the process, the female suspect was bit by a dog. Meanwhile the male suspect allegedly broke a taillight by kicking it, causing over $1,000 in damage.

Officers contacted the female suspect at CHI Mercy Medical Center, where she was being treated for the dog bite. She reportedly admitted to her role in the incident. The male suspect met with officers and admitted to damaging the other vehicle.  He was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and detained without bail. The woman was cited for second-degree disorderly conduct and remained at the hospital.
