Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 12:30 a.m. an officer was performing a security check in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. A large red and grey tent was found on the river side of the bike path which is a prohibited area, according to the time, place and manner ordinance.

A 61-year-old was contacted and said he was aware of the city ordinance and had been cited for it before. The man was cited and released with instructions to clean up his camp.
