Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man after he allegedly resisted arrest on Monday night.
A DCSO report said just after 8:00 p.m. a caller claimed the 22-year-old was in a verbal disturbance in the 100 block of Cameron Lane in Myrtle Creek. The suspect left the area before deputies arrived and was located at an address nearby. He was advised that there was a warrant for his arrest and given numerous opportunities to be cooperative but chose to attempt to flee the location.
K9 Ozzy was deployed, and deputies challenged the suspect who agreed to cooperate if the dog would not bite him. The man was taken into custody without further incident. He was charged with resisting arrest and for the warrant. Bail was set at $18,750.
