ROSEBURG POLICE RESPOND TO FIVE DUII INCIDENTS

Roseburg Police responded to five DUII incidents between Friday night and early Sunday.

An RPD report said just before 11:00 p.m. Friday an officer stopped a sedan for a traffic violation in the 500 block of Northeast Winchester Street. The 35-year-old driver allegedly had signs of impairment. The man consented to standard field sobriety tests and reportedly performed poorly. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence of intoxicants and transported to corrections where he provided a breath sample. He was released after being cited.

At 12:20 a.m. Saturday an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at the intersection of Southeast Jackson Street and Southeast Oak Avenue. The officer noticed that the 51-year-old driver had signs of impairment. The man consented to standard field sobriety tests and reportedly performed poorly. He was transported to corrections where he was cited and released after providing a breath sample.

At 1:45 a.m. officers contacted a 45-year-old driver from Springfield in the 400 block of Northeast Stephens Street. During the contact the woman reportedly admitted to drinking and driving. She performed standard field sobriety tests and allegedly performed poorly. She provided a breath sample at corrections and was cited and released for DUII.

At 1:30 a.m. Sunday officers responded to two additional DUII incidents – at the corner of Southeast Oak Street and Southeast Spring Avenue and at the intersection of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Oak Avenue. A 23-year-old Central Point man and a 39-year-old Roseburg woman both reportedly showed signs of impairment and were ultimately cited and released for DUII.
