ROSEBURG POLICE DEAL WITH FOUR DUII INCIDENTS

Roseburg Police dealt with four DUII incidents between early Friday and early Sunday.

Information from RPD said Friday just after 12:20 a.m. officers contacted a 55-year-old man in the 200 block of Southeast Jackson Street during a traffic stop and noticed signs of impairment. The man consented to standard field sobriety tests and allegedly performed poorly. During the stop dispatch confirmed that the driver had a warrant for his arrest.

He was arrested and taken into custody for driving under the influence of intoxicants and for the warrant. The man was also cited for a violation count of driving while suspended, driving uninsured, fail to register, failure to install an interlock device, and failure to signal a lane change. He was detained without bail and released later in the day.

At 11:40 p.m. Friday an officer was northbound on Southeast Stephens Street when a 43-year-old man reportedly pulled out in front of him in a large SUV, from Southeast Mosher Avenue. The officer pulled the man over and noticed signs of impairment, as well as an open beer in the vehicle. The driver performed standard field sobriety tests and allegedly performed poorly. He was arrested then booked and released from corrections for DUII. His vehicle was impounded.

Saturday at 9:55 a.m. officers contacted a 38-year-old man after finding his vehicle blocking traffic at the intersection of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard and Northwest Stewart Parkway. The driver consented to standard field sobriety tests which he reportedly performed poorly on. The man was taken into custody and transported to corrections. A search warrant was obtained for blood and urine and samples were taken. He was charged with DUII and detained on $10,000 bail. The man was released later that day.

Sunday morning shortly after 2:30 a.m. officers stopped a 32-year-old in the 2200 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and observed signs of impairment. She was arrested and taken to jail where she was booked and released for DUII.
