Sutherlin Police jailed a fugitive following a traffic stop on Thursday.

An SPD report said at 2:20 p.m. an officer saw 75-year-old Mary Pautot driving in the 100 block Emerald Street and knew her license was suspended and that there was a warrant for her arrest. When the officer stopped Pautot, she reportedly said that she would not be taken into custody and would go home. The woman allegedly punched and kicked at officers but was eventually taken into custody without any injuries.

Pautot was charged with resisting arrest, driving while under the influence of intoxicants, driving while suspended-misdemeanor, and reckless driving. She was detained on $7,500 bail and was released on Friday.
