Roseburg Police charged the director of a local non-profit organization in an embezzlement case on Thursday.

Information from RPD said officers were made aware of the case regarding Every Child Douglas County Director Megan Streilein allegedly taking approximately $19,000 from the organization’s account. The funds for the account were to assist foster children in the Douglas County area. Streilein, age 34, was interviewed on the matter and jailed on first-degree counts of forgery and aggravated theft, computer crimes and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Streilein was detained without bail at 9:20 a.m. and was released on Friday
