Two people were taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 38 near milepost 38 in the Scottsburg area on Monday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 3:30 p.m. a sedan was eastbound on the highway, and the operator was passing a bus in a legal passing lane when a vehicle pulled into the highway going westbound. The incoming driver saw the vehicle in their lane and moved over into the eastbound lane at the same time as the first vehicle. The first driver swerved to miss the other vehicle and entered a roadside ditch.

The sedan rolled over completely and came to rest on its wheels in a residential driveway. Both occupants of sedan were transported to Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport for treatment of minor injuries.
