A driver was hospitalized following a single vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at approximately 1:50 p.m. a deputy responded to the accident in the 200 block of Yokum Road in the Riddle area. The sedan was not on the road, and was hanging off the side of an embankment. The 29-year old driver was semi-conscious. Fire and medical personnel extracted the man from the vehicle. He was transferred to an air ambulance where he was flown to Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
