A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being hit by an SUV Tuesday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said shortly before 2:00 p.m. officers responded to the corner of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Edenbower Boulevard for a crash. Officers investigated and learned that the driver didn’t look in the direction of the bicyclist, so turned and crashed in him.

The cyclist requested that the driver not be cited. The rider was later transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center to be further evaluated. His status was not available, according to a hospital spokesperson.
