Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported criminal mischief incident on Sunday.

An RPD report at 12:00 p.m. officers contacted the 50-year-old after he allegedly broke a window at a business in the 300 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard, using a sling shot. He was detained without issue, and his probation officer wanted him detained for committing the new crime. The man was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and a probation violation. Bail was set at $5,000.
