Sutherlin Police jailed a man on burglary and other charges early Sunday morning.

A SPD release said just before 3:40 a.m. officers responded to a 911 call regarding a man breaking into a residence in the 800 block of East 1st Avenue. 29-year-old Jonathon Delacruz Rivera reportedly made unlawful entry into the residence by removing the air conditioning unit at the rear of the home and crawling inside.

Numerous juveniles were inside having a sleepover at the time of the incident. Once inside, Delacruz allegedly forcefully pushed a victim out of the residence. SPD officers reportedly found Delacruz inside the home. He was charged with first-degree burglary, menacing, harassment and seven counts of recklessly endangering and was taken into custody. Delacruz was detained without bail.
