The U.S. Small Business Administration seeks to make communities aware of available disaster assistance for communities impacted by wildfires that ignited May 31, 2026 and continuing.

An SBA release said eligible businesses and nonprofits in Douglas County, as well as a number of other counties across Oregon, California and Washington, may apply for low-interest federal disaster loans for economic injury. Assistance is available to eligible small businesses and private nonprofit organizations including faith-based organizations.

The deadline to apply for Economic Injury Loans is May 21, 2027.
