The Umpqua National Forest in partnership with National Forest Foundation is hosting a National Public Lands Day volunteer opportunity on the Diamond Lake Ranger District September 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Diamond Lake.

A UNF release said volunteers will help restore the landscape by planting sugar pine trees as part of ongoing forest fire recovery effort.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. RSVPs are required.
