The Douglas Forest Protective Association has issued permits for controlled burns to take place around the Umpqua Valley on Tuesday.

*Ignition time at 10:30 a.m. continuing until 5:00 p.m. in the 17000 block of North Bank Road. Smoke will be visible from Interstate 5, North Bank Road, Roseburg, Sutherlin, Wilbur and Glide

*Ignition time at 12:00 p.m. continuing until 5:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Old Town Road in Oakland. Smoke will be visible from Interstate 5, Oakland, Sutherlin, Fair Oaks, Wilbur, Umpqua, Nonpareil, and Roseburg

More prescribed burns are being scheduled for later in the week.
