Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man on a harassment charge early Saturday morning.

A DCSO report said at 1:00 a.m. deputies responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Leah Court in the Oakland area and contacted a victim who was outside the residence. The victim stated that during a verbal argument, the 62-year-old man sprayed him with an unknown substance. The victim recorded the entire incident, and it showed the suspect spraying the victim with a substance from a fire extinguisher.

The suspect at first denied the incident but ultimately stated that it was just water that had been sprayed, which was determined to be accurate. The victim wanted to pursue charges, so the man was taken into custody and detained without bail.
