The Roseburg City Council will meet in Executive Session on Monday night to consider employing one of the candidates for the vacant city manager position.

Last week the City of Roseburg unveiled the six candidates during an open house event. They are:

*Fred Ventresco: Current county administrator for Otesgo County, Michigan

*Robert Field: Most recently the city manager in Medford

*Annette Spickhard: Current city manager in Sedona, Arizona

*Jamie Lee Strickel: Current economic development director and communications specialist for the City of Canby

*William Hornka: Recent city manager in Unalaska, Alaska

*Sam Kim: Recent county administrator for Grays Harbor County in Washington

Any decision on who to hire would have to be made during a public portion of a council meeting. The meeting agenda does not show the council coming back into an open session after the executive session.

A number of items are on the agenda during the regular meeting, which begins at 7:00 p.m. It will be held in the council chambers on Southeast Douglas Avenue. The meeting can be seen on the city’s Facebook page or viewed later at www.roseburgor.gov
