The southbound lanes of a section of Interstate 5 southbound were closed early Monday following a two-vehicle crash.
Preliminary information from the Oregon State Police said at 2:00 a.m. troopers responded to the rollover wreck just north of the milepost 127 Edenbower Boulevard interchange just north of Roseburg. A driver lost control of his semi-truck while trying to avoid a deer and hit the center median and sliding into a bank on the right-hand shoulder. A second vehicle then crashed into the semi and rolled onto its side against the center median. Both lanes were blocked for approximately three hours. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and OSP responded for traffic control.
No further information has been released from OSP.
