Roseburg Police jailed a woman for obstructing government administration and resisting arrest on Wednesday.
An RPD report said approximately 7:20 a.m. the 32-year-old was contacted at her camp in Deer Creek Park in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. The camp had been posted for a cleanup at that time. The woman attempted to removed items from her camp but was physically removed from her tent and instructed not to return or she would be arrested.
A short time later, the woman did return and retrieved more items out of her camp. She was again instructed to not take the items and to leave the area. She allegedly refused and was told she was under arrest. The woman reportedly resisted and was eventually taken into custody after a brief struggle. She was later found to be in possession of a small axe and a large bowie knife, which are both prohibited in the parks.
The woman was taken into custody. Bail was set at $12,500. She was also cited for having prohibited weapons and tools on city real property.
