ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR DOWNTOWN TRESPASS INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a downtown trespass incident on Saturday morning.

An RPD report said shortly before 7:30 a.m. the 43-year-old was contacte4d at the intersection of Southeast Cass Avenue and Southeast Rose Street, knowing that he was a city expulsion violator. The suspect fled when officers contacted him and refused to stop. A taser was deployed and the man was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to corrections and charged with second-degree criminal trespass.   Bail was set at $1,250.
