Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a hit and run accident that took place on Friday night.

A DCSO report said at 9:30 p.m. multiple people said that a vehicle had crashed through a chain link fence in the 3000 block of Carnes Road in the Green District. The operator reportedly tried to drive the sports car out of the location but got stuck. The man then ran away on foot towards Depriest Street. The vehicle was recovered by a towing company.
