Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Thursday evening.

An RPD report said at 10:40 p.m. officers contacted the 41-year-old behind a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and immediately noticed he was under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant. An officer called the man’s parole officer, who requested a search of the man’s person and property, which he consented to.

The officer reportedly located methamphetamine in the man’s pocket. The man was detained for a parole violation and was held without bail.
