Officers with the Roseburg Police Department are conducting a shooting investigation.

Public Information Officer Sergeant Daniel Allen said Thursday at about 12:00 p.m. RPD, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, Sutherlin Police Department and Parole and Probation responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Northwest Highland Street. Allen said the investigation revealed the incident stemmed from a conflict between two males. There is no known ongoing threat to the public.

Allen said the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and a suspect has been taken into custody. The investigation is still active, and more information will be released when it is available.
