A bicyclist was taken to the hospital following a pickup versus bike accident on Tuesday night.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 7:00 p.m. troopers responded to the wreck at the Interstate 5 northbound on-ramp from West Harvard Avenue in Roseburg. The motorist told the trooper that he was entering the ramp and didn’t see the bicyclist crossing. The victim was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. He was transferred to Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield. The man is listed in fair condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson.

The pickup sustained heavy front-end damage. It was retrieved from the crash scene by a towing company.
