Roseburg Police jailed a man for prohibited camping and littering near a waterway on Wednesday.

An RPD report said 9:25 a.m. the 62-year-old was contacted for not following the city’s time, place and manner camping standards at his camp in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. His campsite had numerous bike parts and garbage surrounding his tent, which was within 100 yards of the South Umpqua River.

A charge of second-degree criminal trespass was added. Bail was set at $10,000..
